Movie To Watch: Drive

From Wikipedia: “Drive is an American action drama film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. The screenplay, written by Hossein Amini, is based on James Sallis's 2005 novel of the same name. The film stars Ryan Gosling as an unnamed Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver. He quickly grows fond of his neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan), and her young son, Benicio. When her debt-ridden husband, Standard (Oscar Isaac), is released from prison, the two men take part in what turns out to be a botched million-dollar heist that endangers the lives of everyone involved. The film co-stars Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, and Albert Brooks.”

Tv Show To watch: Euphoria

Via Wikipedia: “Euphoria is an American television series created and written by Sam Levinson for HBO. It is based on the Israeli television miniseries of the same name created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. The series follows a group of high school students through their experiences of identity, trauma, drugs, friendships, love, and sex. It stars Zendaya in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast consisting of Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, Colman Domingo, Javon Walton, Austin Abrams, and Dominic Fike.”

What can we learn from this show:

• The dangers of peer pressure.

• Why addiction to drugs and alcohol can be dangerous.

• Why it is important for us to understand our emotions, without resisting our fighting them.

• The importance of support from family and friends.

Book To Read: How To Be A Capitalist without any Capital

Clearly one of the more fascinating and practical books about modern entrepreneurship. Nathan Latka, really goes deep in providing actionable advice and tips on this book. Really enjoyed reading it, and thanks to Yoel Israel, for letting me borrow it.

What can we learn from this book:

• Why we shouldn’t focus only on one skill.

• Why copying your competition can be valuable.

• Why we should focus on creating systems.

• Why we need to focus on building out distribution channels.

• The power of media.
